Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: September 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how COP Technology (“COP,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and retains personal information through coptechnology.us and its contact forms. COP Technology is responsible for the personal information described here. This policy does not govern client data processed under a separate Discovery, consulting, pilot, implementation or managed-services agreement.

1. Information we collect and its sources

We collect information directly from you when you contact us or submit a Company Snapshot. This may include your name and work email, plus any company, phone, approximate company size and locations, operational context, system categories or names, desired outcomes and message you choose to provide. Our website, hosting, delivery and security providers may also collect standard technical information automatically, including IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps and diagnostic or security logs.

Depending on applicable law, these data may fall within categories such as identifiers, professional or business information, commercial or engagement information, and internet or network activity. The sources are you, your browser or device, and providers that operate and protect the website on our behalf.

2. How and why we use information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your inquiry and communicate with you;
  • understand your operating context and determine whether a conversation may be useful;
  • prepare, scope or discuss a potential Discovery, consulting, pilot or implementation;
  • operate, protect, troubleshoot and improve the website;
  • maintain appropriate business records and defend our legal rights; and
  • comply with applicable law.

Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely as applicable on our legitimate interests in operating and securing our business and responding to genuine business inquiries; steps requested by you before entering a contract; your consent; and compliance with legal obligations. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests or withdraw consent where those rights apply.

3. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to providers supporting website hosting, content delivery, security, email delivery and business communications; to professional advisers where reasonably necessary; to authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety; or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets. Providers receive information only for the services they perform for us and are expected to protect it under applicable contractual and legal requirements.

4. Cookies, online tracking and browser signals

The website may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary to deliver, maintain and protect the site, including security technologies provided by our hosting or content delivery providers. COP Technology does not currently use advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral advertising or website analytics on this site.

Some browsers offer Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, those signals do not currently change how this website operates. If our tracking practices change, we will update this policy and honor legally required preference signals. We do not authorize service providers to use website technical information for their own cross-site advertising.

5. No sale or behavioral-advertising sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as “sharing” is defined by California law. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about visitors.

6. Retention

We retain inquiry information only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, evaluate or manage a potential engagement, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, protect our rights or satisfy legal obligations. Retention depends on the nature of the inquiry, whether a business relationship develops and applicable recordkeeping requirements. Technical and security records are retained according to operational and security needs and provider settings.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we hold. No internet transmission, email system or storage service can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not submit passwords, financial account information, health information, trade secrets, regulated data or other sensitive or confidential information through the general contact form.

8. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to request access to or a copy of personal information, correction, deletion, portability, restriction of processing, or information about how it is used and disclosed. You may also object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, and ask us to stop contacting you.

To make a request, email info@coptechnology.us or call +1 773 997 1202. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law.

9. California and other U.S. state disclosures

During the preceding 12 months, the categories we may have collected are the categories described in Section 1. Their sources, business purposes and categories of recipients are described in Sections 1–3. We have not sold personal information or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Where the California Consumer Privacy Act or another state privacy law applies to us, residents may exercise the rights provided by that law using the methods in Section 8.

10. Visitors from the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland

Where European data protection law applies, COP Technology is the controller for website inquiry information. In addition to the rights described above, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority where you live or work. We do not use website inquiry data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

11. International transfers

COP Technology is based in the United States. If you contact us from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we use an applicable legal basis and safeguards for international transfers.

12. Children

This website and COP Technology's services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our website, providers or practices change or as required by law. The effective date above shows when this version was last revised. Material changes will be presented through an appropriate notice where required.
